tons, but at the same time, you should use carts that allow a load from the axle to the rails of up to 25 tons. The volume of the body is increased to 85 m 3 . The wide opening of the end door allows you to load and unload large loads through them. Thanks to the development of new wagons (promising composite designs), improved technical and economic characteristics and new design solutions aimed at increasing operational reliability, in particular: - due to the use of 1-T dimensions and the increase of all internal dimensions of the body, its capacity has been significantly increased, which is 96 m 3 ; - the strength of the end wall is increased by 70%; - the use of side wall racks of a channel-like structure made it possible to increase the strength of the side walls by 65% without increasing the weight of the container; - smooth wall cladding is used in the open wagon, which allows to significantly improve the conditions of cargo dumping; - a reinforced hatch cover with a locking mechanism is used, which ensures a reliable closure and eliminates the need for tying with a wire. The improvement of the body structure reduces the frequency of receiving open wagons for current repairs, ensuring the preservation of transported goods, and increases the inter-repair period after construction to 3 years, or 450 thousand km. Equipment for the repair of typical and composite open wagon bodies. Wagon Repair Machine for VRM-E operating depots (Fig. 4). The Wagon Repair Machine VRM-E is meticulously designed to mechanize production and facilitate the ongoing repair of freight wagons at Points of Technical Operation (PTO). Its primary purpose is to address defects in the bodies of open wagons that may arise during operational use. Additionally, the machine is equipped to handle the removal, hanging, and transportation of various parts outside the wagon, as well as the lifting of an empty wagon from one side to facilitate welding operations.

Fig. 5. The Mobile Open Wagon Tilter.

The Mobile Open Wagon Tilter, as illustrated in (Fig. 5), serves the purpose of adjusting the orientation of the open wagon body in two directions within the confines of wagon repair depots and wagon-building enterprises. Let's consider a fragment of the finite element model of the supporting structure of the open-wagon body, which was created in the SolidWorks software environment (Fig. 6).
