The CISM advanced course "Crack Initiation and Failure in Complex Structures: Finite Fracture Mechanics and Related Fracture Models" will be delivered from June 09 to 13, 2025. The course is organized by Prof. Aurelien Doitrand from the Univ. of Lyon, France and the co-chair of TC16, Prof. Vladislav Mantič from the Univ . of Seville. We hope to see many of the fracture mechanics community members attending this advanced course. Please follow the CISM homepage ( LINK ) for more information that will be posted towards end of 2024. Finally, with great sadness we were informed that the founding co-chairman of TC16, Dr. Dominique Leguillon of the Sorbonne University in Paris, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2023, in Evreux, France. A memorial lecture overviewing his remarkable scientific life was presented at the NewFrac workshop in Porto and will be published in a forthcoming issue of Int J Fracture .

TC21: HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT AND TRANSPORT - ESIS TC21 chairs Milos B. Djukic, Tom Depover, and Motomichi Koyama, together with Frank Cheng, Lívia Cupertino Malheiros, Masoud Moshtaghi, and Birhan Sefer will organize the upcoming TC21 Thematic/Special Symposium with a round table and panel discussions: ”Hydrogen embrittlement in metallic materials: pipeline transport, hydrogen storage, and other applications” ( LINK ) within the framework of the 24 th European Conference on Fracture - ECF24 ( LINK ), August 26 - 30, 2024, Zagreb, Croatia.
