At the same time have been executed geophysical arrays and a continuous coring drilling to geotechnical characterization of foundation ground, from which results is seen that bedrock, made of stratified sandstones, it was from 2 to 5 meters deep, under a cape of gravel and pebbles of alluvial origin, in a lime matrix, of the active Serchio’s riverbed (Fig.6).
