4. Conclusions Within this theme, over the years a range of natural fibers have been investigated, to better understand their mechanical performance. This experimental research approach provided a better understanding of the mechanical behavior and the effect of different layers. The results showed an increase ultimate load from 48,5% in flexural strength of specimen strengthened directly placed in the formwork compared to the control specimen without strengthening. The reinforcing with a single layer at the bottom of the specimen (F0) is of particular importance for delaying the bending crack and increasing the ultimate load.
