fixed in U axis direction and V displacement refers to how much displacement faced by the strain rosette, fixed in V axis direction. U-displacement scale varies from -7.1× 10 -3 mm to -6.2 × 10 -3 mm and V-displacement scale varies from -7× 10 -3 mm to -5.5 × 10 -3 mm. The strains in X & Y directions are shown in Fig. 5. Fig. 5a shows the strain along longitudinal direction and Fig. 5b represents the strain along transverse direction. For calculating Ꜫ x strain only virtual strain rosette along X axis is considered and for Ꜫ y virtual strain rosette along Y axis is considered. The scale of Ꜫ x and Ꜫ y varies 3 × 10 -4 to 12 × 10 -3 and -1.8 × 10 -3 to -0.4× 10 -3 respectively. After analyzing the strain data, the Ꜫ x and Ꜫ y are obtained as 548 and -611 macrostrains respectively.
