Digital image correlation (DIC) [10] and high-speed camera systems were setup throughout the tests. The setup is shown in Fig. 11. A total of 31 AE sensor mounting locations were identified for full coverage of the test article. AE-1 to 28 planned on the test article, AE-29 on the pressurisation flange and AE-30 and 31 identified on covering plate of flange region on either sides. 10 AE sensors were retained (circled in red) for ultimate and burst test as shown in Fig. 12. The testing sequence for each pressurization stage and subsequent holding time is shown in table 4. The pressure in the line was increased gradually until bursting of the test article.
