As indicated by the “Linee Guida”, data acquisition during the census phase is performed on the basis of the analysis of the technical and administrative documentation available and the support of IT tools for management and mapping, without necessarily performing visual inspections on site. The same “Linee Guida” provide for the compilation of a Level "0" census form which allows for the collection of available information.

In the specific case, the starting data on each bridge were provided by the Provinces and the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria by means of "internal" survey forms, unfortunately not complete with all the information required by the cards attached to the “Linee Guida”.
