Fig. 2 and 3 shows the shape of the oscillations according to the first mode, for the first and second method of calculations at a frequency of 5.45 Hz and 0.049 Hz, respectively. According to the first mode a typical deformations are horizontal displacements concerning a vertical axis of a tower. Similar deformation patterns are inherent in the grain leg tower (Fig. 3) with the second method of calculation.
