1. Introduction 1. Introduction
During recent years, the author of the present paper has been developing some ideas with the aim of establishing a non conventional connection between art and science. This paper focuses on the relationship between the fatigue crack paths generated in progressively cold drawn pearlitic steel wires and the poetry by Fray Luis de León, major poet of the Spanish literature and Professor in the University of Salamanca.
