Conclusions In this work, preliminary results from AVT and OMA performed in the ChIP building are presented, based on data from a permanent monitoring system integrated during construction and validated through a high-resolution experimental campaign. The two monitoring approaches showed excellent consistency in natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping ratios, confirming the reliability of the permanent installation. Long-term OMA analyses indicated highly stable modal parameters with negligible variability over more than one year. Recordings from a local seismic event further provided critical evidence of the in-service seismic performance of the hybrid base isolated structure. These findings demonstrate the capability of the monitoring strategy to deliver accurate, continuous, and actionable information for real-time structural assessment and lifecycle performance management under both operational and extreme seismic conditions.
