5. Conclusions After optimization of the Lost PLA method, high accuracy in the manufacturing of the AA 6082 lattice structures has been achieved, in comparison with the 3D model. Experimental analysis deviates from numerical analysis (FEA) due to defects arising from the entire Lost PLA process, with a 3.5% error in Test #2 in terms of deformation corresponding to σ MAX . Image analysis techniques have demonstrated a reliable level of precision for the characterization of cellular structures. In particular: DFT accurately approximates the behaviour of the tests up to deformations of 12% for Tests #1 and #2, with errors of 0.3% and 0.8%, respectively. DIC correctly approximates the entire behaviour of the experimental tests, with errors of 1.8% and 2% in terms of σ MAX for Tests #1 and #2 respectively.
