4. “ Partenariato per l’Innovazione” and Short List of professional companies or RTPs Starting from January 2023, and in parallel with the experimental application of the “Linee Guida”, an “Partenariato per l’Innovazione” was launched which aims to create prototypes and me thodological and innovative tools, useful for carrying out inspections on existing bridges and viadutcs of not-ANAS road networks of the Calabria Region. The execution of the "Partenariato" contract, to be stipulated with the operator who will be identified, is divided into three steps: • STEP 1 : research, analysis and development of innovative tools and methodologies for the census, survey and risk classification of existing bridges on the not-ANAS road networks of the Calabria Region, with reference to the “ Linee Guida ” approved by “ Consiglio Superiore dei Lavori Pubblici ” ; • STEP 2 : creation of prototypes and methodological and innovative tools, deriving from the application of the results of STEP 1 , useful for carrying out the inspection phase of the existing bridges of the not-ANAS road networks of the Calabria Region. The application of the innovative technology in a real environment is envisaged, in particular it will be applied on a minimum number of 15 existing bridges, chosen by the Region based on the structural type, the presence of landslide risk and hydraulic risk, and the location. The application and implementation of the testing protocol will serve to demonstrate and measure the effectiveness of the innovative tools in a real environment. This will also allow us to compare and contrast new methodologies with traditional ones; • STEP 3 : if STEP 2 is practicable, we will proceed with the application of the innovative methodology to at least no. 1000 existing bridges of the provincial road networks of the Calabria Region, with the possibility of providing innovative systems for cataloging defects for the purposes of assigning the risk class. These systems must be interoperable with those provided by the Ministry of Transport Infrastructure (AINOP). Furthermore, in July 2023, a short list of professional companies or RTPs was established for the assignment of the inspection service, drafting of defect sheets and evaluation of the Attention Class of some existing bridges and viaducts in addition to those already inspected in collaboration with FABRE. The following T able 3 summarizes the timetable of the “Piano operativo per il monitoraggio di ponti e viadotti delle reti stradali non-ANAS ”.

Finally, with the support of “Consorzio FABRE”, the development of a methodology is expected to define the priorities of level 4 assessment and intervention operations for bridges and viaducts falling within the High Attention Class as well as its application, including level 4 assessments, on a specially selected sample of works. 5. Conclusions With the implementation of the "Piano operativo monitoraggio ponti e viadotti delle reti stradali non- ANAS”, the Calabria Region intended to provide support to the managing bodies of not-ANAS road networks in the activities of classification and risk management, safety assessment and monitoring of existing bridges and viaducts. By means of a similar project, the Calabria Region aims to overcome the typical approach of the past in which the planning of interventions has always been of a bottom-up type (on the basis of the reporting of dangerous situations
