3.6. Spacers 3D printed rings produced by 3D printing technology from PA 12 material were used as a replacement for the spacers in the spring strut. The spacer ring also functions as a sliding element (Fig.9).

4. Other interesting applications - primary production Employees of the Regional Institute of Technology also focus intensively on the development of completely new products or the innovation of existing components. In the field of metal printing, the greatest progress has been made in the development and optimization of machining tools. Fig. 10 shows the worldwide patented milling tool Kraken and its new progressive optimizations.

As part of various research and development projects, which are implemented in cooperation with industrial enterprises and other research organizations, interesting AM applications of plastics and composites have been created. The most interesting examples are demonstrated in the pictures. Applications in the field of sports (Fig. 11 and Fig. 12) and prosthetics (Fig. 13) have been developed. Attention is also paid to rescuing artifacts when reverse engineering, digitization and 3D printing of unique historical objects are applied (Fig. 14).
