3.3. Roll of edging machine 3D printing was used during the production of a mold for casting a polyurethane sleeve for the guide part of the roll, as a replacement for a worn part, during the reconstruction of a continuous edging machine for the production of casings for sandwich panels of cooling and freezing equipment (Fig. 6). The second step was the structural adjustment of the roll and the complete replacement of its guiding part with a 3D printed part made of PA12GB material (a material with a proportion of glass). The advantage is the possibility of replacing a damaged part within a few days.

3.4. Mounting cover 3D printing of plastic helped during assembly, when small nuts often fell into the assembled part and subsequently caused problems. A cover made of PA12 material was therefore designed and printed, which enabled the nuts to be mounted in the given positions and prevented them from falling into the part (Fig.7). This resulted in significant savings in assembly time.

3.5. Pressure wheel The pressure wheel of the labeling machine was designed to hold the label strip and realized using 3D printing of the composite. The outer diameter of the pressure wheel was machined to the exact size; the bearing was fitted to the pin without the need for machining (Fig.8).
