2.2. High Efficiency Vortex (HEV) addition The type of vortex generator used is High-Efficiency Vortex (HEV) which is generally used in heat transfer devices and gas mixers. The HEV is installed at the x/c position, 25% of the airfoil chord length. The height of the HEV in this study is 3.2 mm and adjusted to the boundary layer thickness contained in the airfoil, as stated by Fernandez Gamiz et al. (2018). The height of this passive element is recommended to be 80-100% of the boundary layer from the surface of the airfoil Galera et al. (2019). The variations investigated in this study are variations in the geometry of the HEV, namely rectangular, trapezoidal and triangular, and tab angle variations. The parameters can be seen in Table 2 and geometry of HEV can be seen in Figures 2.
