The qualitative results of our numerical simulation are reported in Fig. 11, where 12 steps of the discretized evolution are shown. Notice that these are stable equilibrium states of the system, that is local minima, reached through our descent minimization algorithm at twelve values of the imposed displacement (U=0.00,0.005,0.010,0.015,…,0.065).
