Activities foreseen for 2024 February 1-2, 2024. Portuguese Conference on Fracture, Setúbal, Portugal (LINK)

ESIAM23: best presentation award

The 2024 Portuguese Conference on Fracture is a joint organization of the Portuguese Structural Integrity Society and the Polytechnical Institute of Setúbal. It will be held in the Campus of the Polytechnical Institute of Setúbal, from February 1 to 2, 2024. Main topics: Fracture; Fatigue; Structural Integrity; Advanced Materials and Biomaterials. Plenary Speakers Confirmed: Mario Guagliano (Pol. of Milano) and José Martinho de Oliveira (Univ. of Aveiro) Selected abstracts will be invited for full paper publication to a special issue of the Book Series on Structural Integrity (indexed in SCOPUS and WoS), with a high visibility online publication on Springer Publishing. VHCF symposium: Experimental methods, specimens and machines, and damage mechanisms Abstract submission and registration before December 30, 2023 (last call): LINK 9th International Conference on Very High Cycle Fatigue – Lisbon, Portugal, June 26 – 28th, 2024 (LINK) From August 21 to 25, 2023, the XIII All Russian Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics was held in St. Petersburg at the Peter the Great University. This is one of the oldest and largest scientific events in Russia. The Organizing Committee of the Congress was headed by the Chairman of the Russian National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Goryacheva and the Rector of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Rudskoy. More than 1,600 people from 70 cities of Russia, as well as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan became participants. The Congress program included 21 scientific sections and 12 symposia on general Luis Reis Russia

Proceedings will be published on an issue of Procedia Structural Integrity with 46 papers (soon available). Moreover, a Special Issue on Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures is being organised. Proceedings of the “ 27th International Conference on Fracture - IGF27” are available on the issue No. 47 of Procedia Structural Integrity (LINK). The volume of the presentations videorecordings is available in ESIS-PH (LINK). Moreover, both a Special Issue on Frattura ed Integrità Strutturale and on Science Talks are being organised. In the last six months, the IGF journal "Frattura ed Integrità Strutturale - Fracture and Structural Integrity" published two issues, in July and in October, obtaining the first JCR Impact Factor equal to 1.4. In 2024, IGF will support the organisation of “The 8th International Conference on Crack Paths - CP2024” (September 10-12, 2024, Rimini - Italy & Web). The Conference is chaired by: Sabrina Vantadori (Parma, Italy), Francesco Iacoviello (Cassino, Italy), Nicholas Fantuzzi (Bologna, Italy), Andrea Carpinteri (Parma, Italy), Filippo Berto (Roma, Italy), Luca Vincenzo Ballestra (Bologna, Italy).
