About the Conference “ European Structural Integrity Society - ESIS ” ( LINK ) has announced its biennial conference ( 25th European Conference on Fracture – ECF25: Predicting and Preventing Catastrophic Crack Propagation ) ( LINK ). ECF25 marks two jubilees: 25 th conference and 50 th anniversary of the 1 st one organized in Poitiers in 1976. The organization of the conference was entrusted by ESIS to the “ Greek Society for Experimental Mechanics of Materials ” ( LINK ). The event will take place in Athens, Greece, from September 6 to September 11, 2026. In addition, following ECF’s tradition a two-day Summer School will be organized on September 5 and 6, devoted to innovative analytical and experimental tools for the prediction of upcoming catastrophic crack propagation. ECF25 continues the legacy of excellence established by the ECF series, which has been a cornerstone of the fatigue and fracture community since its inception in 1976. Over the years, it has become one of the premier global forums for researchers and engineers working in the fields of structural integrity, fatigue, and fracture mechanics. It is expected that ECF25 will attract hundreds of participants from Academia, Research Institutions, and Industry, reflecting its status as a major platform for scientific exchange and collaboration.
