The Ukrainian National Group took part in the organization of the VIII International Conference “In service Damage of Materials: Diagnostics and Prediction” under ESIS auspice. The conference was held online, October 15-17, 2025 ( LINK ). The conference was chaired by Profs. Oleg Yasnii (Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University, Ukraine) and Olha Zvirko (Karpenko Physico Mechanical Institute of the NAS of Ukraine). Among attendees were representatives of Germany, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Indonesia, and Ukraine. Over 100 presentations were made at the conference. In 2026, The Ukrainian National Group will take part in the organization of the International Conference “Fracture Mechanics of Materials and Structural Integrity” in Lviv (Ukraine) from 3 to 5 March 2026. The conference will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Prof. Volodymyr Panasyuk (1926-2026). Professor Panasyuk has made a significant contribution to the development of various areas of fracture mechanics and strength of materials and structures, which was recognized by the international scientific community. He was awarded of the Griffith Medal the ESIS (2000) and other prestigious awards. Hryhoriy Nykyforchyn
