The journal expanded its commitment to accessible research by continuing the publication of the papers in pdf version, of the issues as a browsable format and of Visual Abstracts (2-minute videos summarizing core findings, LINK ) for all papers, enhancing global engagement and research impact. In addition, since the 2025 first issue, each paper is also published in a HTML version (great for mobile devices) and is connected to a podcast published in the new F&SI podcast platform ( LINK ), also available in Spotify, YouTube and Amazon Music. Finally, the “Ask to AI” service ( LINK ) offers an interactive platform NotebookLM based with a new dimension of collaborative research.
The next IGF events is the Fourth European Conference on the Structural Integrity of Additively Manufactured Materials (ESIAM26, LINK ) that will be held in Vicenza, Italy (February 18-20, 2026). The deadline for the Abstract submission is January 10 th , 2026. Francesco Iacoviello
RUSSIA
With the participation of members of the Russian group, the following events were organized and held: • on May 27-31, the XVIII International Conference "Mechanics, Resource and Diagnostics of Materials and Structures", Yekaterinburg, Russia • on November 13-14, 2025, the Seventh School for Young Scientists "Monitoring of Natural and Technogenic Systems", Perm, Russia. As part of the 1st Biennial ESIS-CSIC Conference on Structural Integrity (Hotel Metropol Palace, Belgrade, Serbia, November 25-28, 2025), Professor Oleg Plekhov organized and chaired the mini symposium "Advanced surface processing technologies for damage tolerance improvement and life extension". At the same conference, Professor Oleg Naimark chaired the mini-symposium "Synchrotron, lab-scale and industrial X-ray tomography for multiscale structural integrity". As part of the International Scientific and Technical Conference on Aviation Engines "International Conference on Aviation Motors" (ICAM 2025, December 1-3, Hotel Holiday Inn Sokolniki, Moscow, Russia), Professor Valery Shlyannikov chaired the subsection “Strength and Lifetime”, and Professor Oleg Naimark chaired the subsection “Impact Laser Hardening”. More than 1200 specialists and researchers participated in the ICAM 2025 conference.
