pressure tests. The program of experiments included various combinations of axial forces, torque, and internal pressure applied to a cylindrical specimen. The values of fracture loads obtained as a result of tests are given in (Table 2).

4. Numerical study To analyze the stress-strain state of the 2024 aluminum alloy in a complex stress state, a 20-node high-order isoparametric 3D model was used. A high-density mesh was formed in the notch zone to determine the stress distribution and damage parameter behavior over the sample thickness. The calculation program included the types of loading presented in Table 2. The value of the damage parameter for each type of loading is presented in Table. 3
