TC07: FAILURE ANALYSIS AND FORENSIC ENGINEERING The Tenth International Conference on Engineering Failure Analysis was held in Athens on 8 to 10 July. The co-chairs of the conference were Dr.George Pantazopoulos, Professor Cesar Azevedo and ESIS TC7 chairs, Dr.Richard Clegg and Professor Virginia Infante. The conference was organized and managed by Elsevier, who publishes the supporting journal, Engineering Failure Analysis. The conference had approximately 210 participants from around the world, including many from ESIS. The journal has grown strongly under the new Editor in Chief, Professor Cesar Azevedo and his team, with the Impact factor now at 4.4 and the number of downloaded articles from the journal website exceeding 1 million per year, showing the increasing interest in the field of engineering failure analysis. Keynote speakers at the conference were Nima Shamsaei, Zhen-Guo Yang, Kamran Nikbin, Jose M. Adam, Pandora Psyllaki, Richard Clegg and Athena Alexopoulou. Topics included a re examination of the failure of the Challenger Space Shuttle and failure mechanisms in additive manufactured components. The conference included an interesting workshop on art and philosophy of failure analysis, organized and presented by Dr.George Pantazopoulos. We are looking forward to the Eleventh International Conference on Engineering Failure Analysis, which will be held in China in 2026.
