2.1. Mechanical tests Mechanical tests were carried out after equalization by following the procedures described in the norm EN 196-1 (2005). Prismatic samples of 40×40×160 mm 3 were tested under a three-point bending scheme where the distance between the supports was 100 mm (± 0.5 mm) and the vertical center load was applied with a displacement rate of 0.2 mm/min until failure as shown in Figure 4 a-c (Mankel et al., 2019a). Compression tests were performed on half piece of the failed samples according to the procedure outlined in the norm EN 196-1 (2005), as shown in Figure 4 b.
