Figs. 7 and 8 show a comparison with the proposed strength formula. Fig. 7 compares with Eq.(6), and Fig. 8 compares with Eqs .(7) and (9). From Fig. 7, the proposed formula can evaluate the buckling strength of the eccentrically loaded members. While there may be conservative results, the evaluated results are reasonably accurate. Based on Fig. 8, all specimens fell within the range of Eq. (9), and Eq. (7) could not be evaluated. The test results were conservatively evaluated and are reasonably accurate.
