3. CML calibration and load slip estimation For the back calibration of the CML, the load versus secant stiffness, k sec , diagram is plotted, where each value k i, sec = P i /s i depends on the i-th recorded value of load, P i , and slip, s i . Then, a moving average is evaluated along an appropriate record length depending on the acquisition parameters. The diagram recalls that reported in Figure 2.
