wrapping layers and an increased vertical deformability in the post-peak phase, characterized by a less brittle behavior. An analytical approach, derived by adapting the Spoelstra-Monti approach – formulated for FRP-strengthened concrete columns – to the case of SRG-strengthened masonry columns, was also adopted to predict the compressive behavior of the confined samples. The comparison between analytical and experimental results, in terms of force vs displacement curves, showed a good agreement, especially up to the peak load.
