3.2. Tensile tests Specimens were tested according to the ASTM E8/E8M-13 standard in a 50 kN screw driven testing machine ZWICK Z50 at room temperature.

Tensile tests were performed on five smooth round bar specimens for all studied materials. Specimens were taken from the bars in the longitudinal direction. To examine the differences of material properties across the bar thickness, individual specimens were taken to characterise the material over the entire thickness range of the bars. Specimens denoted by numbers 01 and 02 were manufactured from material near the bar surface, specimen 03 was prepared from the center of the bar and the specimens 04 and 05 from an area of one third of the thickness of the bar. The stress-strain ( σ - ε ) curves are shown in Figs. 2 - 5. From the recorded stress-strain curves, the proof strength R p ,0.2, ultimate tensile strength R m and elongation A g were determined and are summarized in Tab. 4.
