To determine the stress - strain state of an object (construction) around any hole, it is proposed to use the unloading method with marking the surface of the loaded object with the outline of the hole under study, followed by its point-by-point unloading and measuring the resulting contour displacements. Examples are given to illustrate the proposed method for diagnosing the structure and state of loaded constructions. © 2022 The Authors. Published by ELSEVIER B.V. Keywords: diagnostics, stress state, defectiveness, Cauchy problem. With the use of redefined information on a stress-free surface and given distribution of three displacements (Cauchy problem), the fields of stresses, strains and displacements in the ntire object are u iquely rec structed. By thes fi lds, using the obtained data an applying criteria of the presence of holes and solid inclusions in media, it is possible to d t rmine the structure of the object. With the use of redefined information on a stress-free surface and given distribution of three displacements (Cauchy problem), the fields of stresses, strains and displacements in the entire object are uniquely reconstructed. By these fields, using the obtained data and applying criteria of the presence of holes and solid inclusions in media, it is possible to determine the structure of the object. 15th International Conference on Mechanics, Resource and Diagnostics of Materials and Stru tures Cauchy problem as a way of diagnosing constructions on failure and stress-strain state Chanyshev A.I. a,b , Belousova O.E. a , Lukyashko O.A. a , Efimenko L.L. b , Frolova I.V. b* a Chinakal Institute of Mining, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, 54 Krasniy prospect, Novosibirsk, Russia b Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, 52 Kamenskayastreet, Novosibirsk, Russia Abstract In order to estimate the structure of an object it is proposed to perform a short-term loading on its surface, followed by registration of ti e-varying displacements n it.
