Fig. 1. Calculation scheme of a tank wagon.

When compiling the equations of motion of a tank wagon, it is taken into account that it moves along a viscoelastic track (Dyomin and Chernyak (2003)). In this case, the reactions of the track are proportional to both its deformation and the speed of this deformation. To determine the mass of the load-bearing structure of a tank wagon with actual dimensions, a spatial model was built in the SolidWorks software package (Fomin and Lovska (2020), Fomin and Lovska (2021)). The value of wear in the components of the load-bearing structure was determined on the basis of field studies (Fig. 2). In this case, the upper index of the ordinal number of the structural element characterizes the nominal value of thickness, and the lower index – the actual one recorded during field studies.

Fig.2. Spatial models of components of the load-bearing structure of a tank wagon a) pot; b) frame It is established that the mass of the load-bearing structure of a tank wagon, taking into account the largest amount of wear of its elements, is 8.2% less in comparison with the load-bearing structure of a tank wagon, which has nominal dimensions. Therefore, the mass of the load-bearing structure of a tank wagon is 15.05 t.
