the FDM printed parts made of PLA material. Also, it was observed that by using DOE and Taguchi method fewer experiments need to be done. Hence, with fewer experiments, more information is gained from the experiments. The presented methodology can be used as a pre-processing approach tool, aiming to optimize any desired mechanical properties. Future works can be done for optimizing other properties (e.g. fracture toughness and fatigue behavior) of the printed parts. Other types of AM materials and 3D printing processes can also be explored in the same methodology of this paper to investigate their process parameters' effects on the mechanical properties of the printed parts.
