data. Nevertheless, the revealed mechanical properties of the pipes and the welded joint satisfy the requirements of regulatory documents for 09Mn2Si steel and welded joints. The study of changes in the properties of pipe steels made it possible to assess the technical condition of the pipe material during the long-term operation of the gas pipeline. The results are necessary to making a forecasts regarding the prospects for further safe operation of existing gas pipelines in the North.
