The necessity to preserve the features of wa lls, arches and vaults is accompanied to ensure a safe archaeological diggings and path for visitors, to admire the monuments inside the Castle, as the Ayyubid Palace or St Mary Church. To this a im the re-construction of huge sites like this should start programming proper storage areas for blocks and ma terials andensuring separatedentrances with specific ramps forwork activities. The role of structural engineers is of primary importance in archaeological context to help thescientists in a safe andconscious re-constructions.
