Figure 6. a) Fatigue test results of IM virgin ABS and FDM ABS for a load ratio R=0, b) IM_PP and IM_rPP (R=-1) and c) virgin and recycled IM_PP-GF30 (R=-1).

The best fatigue performance is obtained for FDM_0°_vABS, FDM_0°/90°_vABS and FDM_±45°_vABS while the lowest fatigue strength is obtained by the FDM_45°_vABS and FDM_90°_vABS (see fig. 2). Figs. 6b and 6c report the comparison between the fatigue strength (R=-1) of IM_vPP-GF30 and IM_vPP-GF30. Note that the recycling of the matrix affects negatively the fatigue strength of both the neat and compound polypropylene. Table 5 summarises the percentage differences between the average value of fatigue strength of the relevant IM virgin material and the other conditions analysed in this paper. It is worth underling that the percentage differences of IM_0°_vPP GF30 and IM_0°_rPP-GF30 were calculated without information regarding the fiber length of the latter. 5. Conclusions Static and fatigue properties of virgin and recycled ABS, PP and PP-GF30 plastics were collected from the literature. Only original papers reporting mechanical properties of these materials produced by Injection Moulding (IM) or Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) were taken into account. Regarding the FDM, only flat specimens characterized by 100% infill density were considered along with five different infill patterns. By referring to IM and FDM manufacturing technologies, the following conclusions on static and fatigue properties can be drawn:
