PMCs. Due to the complexity of the fracture mechanics of composite structures, additional experimental studies have to be performed based on a representative number of composite specimens. It is planned to compare the results of the numerical analyses with the data containing information about the real form of created damage based on a number of damaged specimens with known impact parameters and the results of non-destructive testing using ultrasonic testing and X-ray computed tomography. The results of further analyses will allow for adequate fine tuning of the model and applying it for the prediction of the residual life of structures with BVID.
