3. The results of the study The material with the smallest tensile strength is steel 3, with the greatest - steel 30HGSA with НТ, the material with the biggest value of the transverse tapering factor is bronze, with the smallest value - steel 65G with НТ. Experimental studies of shells for charges have shown that after a shell is detonated, hemispheric cavities form on the surface of lead cylinders, and the shape and size of the cavity formed depends on the tensile strength of the shell material. Using the ratio of the cavity diameter to its height (d/h) and the tensile strength of the shell material, the dependence was received and shown in Fig. 3.
