The mathematical models of the regularities of the influence of the climatic factors on the relative number of the failures of the truck elements are mainly described by the second-degree polynomial. For the five elements (the brake tubes and hoses, the cylinder head, the steering booster, the spring bracket and balancer) the influence of the air temperatures is expressed by the cubic function, and for the starter, the compressor, the internal combustion engine and water pump is given by the linear relationship. Using the obtained models of the influence of the climatic factors on the working capacity of the trucks in the North, it is possible to develop the method of the planning of their maintenance and repair taking into account the seasonal change of the conditions and intensity of the operation, and the method for calculating a need for the spare parts, components and assemblies, which will reduce downtime of the trucks under repair. The obtained results allow developing recommendations on a choice of the most suited trucks for work under the cryolithozone conditions and their modernization as well as optimal operating modes.
