numerical program, Matlab. The results were computed for distinct crack growth stages. A reasonable agreement between the theoretical solution presented by ASTM E647 and over-determined approach was reached. As a final remark, the numerical model produced acceptable results agreeing very well with the experimental and analytical solution.
