fully confined concrete cylinders under compression loading can be accurately predicted by the FE analysis approach sine that the average differ ences of the peak stress value of specimens confined by GFRP are ≤11%. In addition, this study showed that the failure mode observed on the test partially confined specimens, has a significant improvement on the macro-crack and vary by the x/h parameter. In all cases, the distribution of cracks and the rupture was obtained in the unconfined part of concrete cylinders.
