Results and discussion In order not to fail in shear, the strengthening contribution should be higher than 30.2 kN. This limit, which is indicated in Figs.2, 3 and 4 with a straight line, was calculated according to Eurocode 2 (EN 1992-1-1, EC2) using the reference beam rest results.
