3.2. Fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) Fatigue growth rate simulations were performed using Forman law in AFGROW computational software package. In this software, fatigue crack growth analysis was performed on the critical cross-section using a repeated loading with a stress ratio of 0 and 0.1. Fig. 7(a), (b) depicts the crack growth regime in the center cracked specimen with a stress ratio of 0 and SENT specimen with 0.1 stress ratio, respectively. In both cases, the number of cycles in the crack propagation phase shows good agreement with the experimental data.
