The checks ( demand < capacity ) were conducted on the individual beams (couple of central beams and couple of edge beams) which make up the cross section of the bridge. Furthermore, the check was carried out in all the sections of the beam and in particular in the sections most stressed by the loads. The actions considered in the analysis of the road bridge (combined and subsequently enveloped according to the Italian Code and relative Guideline) were: • permanent and variable traffic actions (Fig. 5); • seismic actions (modal analysis in Fig. 6). For the central beam, the following critical results were obtained: • maximum bending moment equal to 1835 kNm corresponding to the cross-section z=6.57 m (i.e. centerline according to Fig. 4); • maximum positive and negative shear equal to 610 kN corresponding to the cross-section z=0 m and z=13.15 m (i.e. boundary according to Fig. 4); For the edge beam, the following critical results were obtained: • maximum bending moment equal to 1360 kNm corresponding to the cross-section z=6.57 m (i.e. centerline according to Fig. 4); • maximum positive and negative shear equal to 386 kN corresponding to the cross-section z=0 m and z=13.15 m (i.e. boundary according to Fig. 4).
