The flowchart of the analytical process and the numerical simulation are presenting in Figure 4. After the calculation of the cracked and solid zones, the modeling of clayey backfill soil was made. According to applying seismic load on the model, the results were interpreting and differential displacement prediction of the model was done. The end of this study was with the suggestion for minimizing cracked zone of the backfill and the future research for enhancement of the seismic stability of clayey backfill soil when model is subjecting to seismic loading.
