Strain-based fracture criterion was applied for obtaining the refined comprehensive estimation of basic provisions of non-linear fracture mechanics and general methodology of design for strength and damage tolerance of metallic components of critical equipment used in nuclear, thermal and space power engineering. The design and experimental kinetic and static dependences between fracture characteristics for developing inclined surface semi elliptic low-cycle cracks have been obtained using strain-based criterion, analytical and numerical methods. © 2021 The Authors. Introduction The problems of survivability and strength of critical elements of the basic structures, both in the elastic and elasto plastic regions of static and cyclic loading, are investigated. The analysis was carried out taking into account the presence, occurrence, and development of defects such as surface differently oriented semi-elliptical cracks, which is an important task, both in theoretical and applied aspects. To assess the service life, it is necessary to know the patterns of development of the fracture surface and the shape change of such cracks. In this study, taking into account (Makhutov, 2005; Makhutov and Makarenko and et al, 2019; Makhutov and Makarenko and et al, 2010; Makhutov 7th International Conference on Crack Paths Paths of the semi-elliptical inclined surface cracks under complex low-cycle loading N.A.Makhytov a , I.V.Makarenko a , L.V.Makarenko a * a Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, 4 Maly Kharitonievsky lane, Moscow, 101990, Russia Abstract The results of calculated–experimental and numerical studies of the relative strain intensity factors in the case of semi-elliptical inclin d surface cracks in the of 12Kh18N10T austenite stainless st els.
