(b) Figure 9. Hardness measurements along and width of ABS-PP specimens in Table 3: specimen 13 (Figure 9a) and specimen 14 (Figure 9b). Hardness presents values close to 12-17 HV in the ABS zone, whereas it decreases in the stir zone to 8-10 HV, and increases to 10-13 HV in the PP zone. These results are in the similar direction of those obtained in recent investigations concerning the friction stir welding of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plates of 5 mm thickness [ 22 ] , or the joining of dissimilar materials: metal and polymer [ 23, 24 ] . 4. Discussion Analysis by SEM were carried out on this dissimilar FSW joints, as shown in Figures 10, for specimen 13, and Figure 11 for specimen 14, of Table 3. Main trends may be described as follows: tensile strength increases with rotation speed and decrease with the advanced speed [ 25, 26 ] , similar viscosity of joining polymers increases the compatibility by FSW [ 27 ] , the retracting side is associated with the defects zone [ 28 ] , as is illustrated in Figures 10
