investigation depth required to identify the desired features. Similarly, the development of instruments based on ultrasonic tomography techniques enables the application of this survey methodology in an increasingly rapid manner and with simplified interpretation of the data collected during the scanning phase. Nevertheless, direct verification of the indications provided by the instruments remains essential to assess their accuracy and to optimally calibrate the planning of any further investigations. The evaluations presented in this report are based on the activities carried out preliminarily to the execution of the DaMoS (DAmage and MOnitoring System) research project on the Candigliano viaduct, located at km 241+967 of National Road S.S. 3 “Flaminia”, during the period January–March 2024. 2. Description of the Structure Subject to the Experimental Program The Candigliano viaduct is located at km 241+967 of National Road S.S. 3 “Flaminia”, managed by Anas S.p.A., within the territory of the Marche Region. The structure consists of two separate and adjacent carriageways; each composed of eight spans. The first two and the last three spans have a length of 30.0 m and are simply supported. The central spans (3, 4, and 5) are constructed as a Gerber girder system with internal hinges; the central span (4) has a length of 60.0 m and includes a suspended (drop-in) beam with a span of 30.0 m (Figure 1).

The decks are multicellular box girders with four webs and are equipped with a post-tensioning prestressing system using Morandi M5-type cables. The prestressing of the simply supported decks is ensured by four cables per web, all anchored at the girder ends; two of these are of type M5/12 and two of type M5/16 (Figure 2).

The prestressing reinforcement of the Gerber girder consists of six cables per web; four of these are anchored at the girder ends and two in the top slab. All cables are of type M5/20 and are deviated at the pier locations (Figure 3).
