3. Dynamic identification 3.1. Reference OMA of the bridge

The extraction of the bridge dynamic parameters from ambient vibration data is performed through an automated OMA procedure. The identification core relies on the Covariance-driven Stochastic Subspace Identification (COV SSI) algorithm (Van Overschee and De Moor, 1996; Peeters and De Roeck, 1999). This method is particularly effective for large-scale infrastructures as it allows for the robust estimation of natural frequencies, damping ratios, and mode shapes by modelling the structural response as a stochastic process in the state-space domain. Figure 6 and Table 1 summarise the main features of the identified modes.
