The next pictures show, instead, a comparison between a project simulation of how the renewed “Ponte di Ferro” would look like after the completion of works and the present situation, after the relaunching competition of the historical truss beams.

10. Conclusions To save and at the same time preserve the historical value of the fire damaged Ponte di Ferro, an iconic and crucial link between the Ostiense and Portuense banks of the Tiber River that required, also, an important enhancement, a new “post-industrial” style bridge has been erected.
