4. The temporary truss bridge for the utilities In order to maintain in service, during the almost 2 years of estimated duration of works, all the utilities carried by the bridge such as a 500 mm in diameter gas pipe line, N.12 φ 140 mm cables for electricity and internet data, a temporary three span bridge, with a 90 m long truss beam major span, to cross the river without erecting foundations and piers on the river bed, has been erected as a first step of the works.

Operating with two 600 tons truss cranes placed on each side of the river banks, the erection of the deck was executed by launching simultaneously the two half macro segments of the main span; while maintaining suspended in position with the cranes the two half segments, the 90 meters main span was assembled, fastening the midspan section and finally lowered on the supports.
