Then frequencies identification was performed applying the described algorithm to velocity histories obtained through a linear dynamic analysis of the tower subjected to white noise excitation, which simulates environmental conditions. The numerical velocities at the four nodes were used to simulate velocity readings acquired on a real structure. Figure 1 shows one stabilisation diagram where the alignments of the stable poles are clearly visible, with different multiplicities. Their highest occurrence identifies the structure's natural frequencies.

Table 3 shows the results obtained from the identification, using 20 fictitious recordings over various time windows to train the algorithm and a further 38 fictitious recordings to obtain the final results. The table show the average frequency values obtained from the analyses, the normalised modal amplitudes at the four nodes, the frequency multiplicity, and the correlation between the numerical value and that obtained by applying the algorithm to the fictitious data, based on the Modal Assurance Criterion.
