3. Results and Discussion Figure 2 shows the landslide susceptibility map for Veneto region obtained with the Random Forest (RF) models for both rapid and slow landslide. The susceptibility values at the pixel scale, ranging from 0 to 100, were classified into five classes (Low to Very High) to support interpretation and spatial comparison. The rapid landslide susceptibility map shows pronounced spatial heterogeneity, with moderate to very high susceptibility zones concentrated predominantly in the northern mountainous and foothill areas. These zones correspond to regions characterized by steep slopes, complex lithology, and pronounced terrain curvature, which are known to favor fast-moving slope failures. In contrast, the central and southern lowland areas are largely classified as low susceptibility, reflecting gentler topography and more stable geomorphological conditions
